DescriptionInformationSergio Fernández, better known as El Monaguillo, returns to the stage at Teatro La Latina on November 7 and 14 and December 4 and 11 to present his best monologues, an anthology of his funny reflections, to a walk through his childhood with the films that have marked him the most.
El Monaguillo is a comedian born in Marbella in 1973, who began his professional career in radio programs of Onda Cero and Europa FM as No son horas, Esto es lo que hay or Ábrete las orejas. Later, he collaborated with El método Gonzo and created the radio program La parroquia del Monaguillo.
Between 2013 and 2014 he worked in the comedy production, Se hace saber, of TVE along with Goyo Jiménez, Leo Harlem, Agustín Jiménez, Arturo González-Campos and Berta Collado. In 2016 he starred alongside Josema Yuste and Alfredo Cernuda, Taxi, an adaptation of Run for your Wife by Ray Cooney. On the other hand, he has written eight books, among them: Padre nuestro que estás en el sofá, Yo también fui a EGB… y tampoco fue pa’ tanto or Las fábulas del Monaguillo. He currently collaborates in the program El hormiguero 3.0 of Antena 3.

After a long time in the skin of the dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo in a theatrical adaptation of the novel “La fiesta del Chivo”, by Mario Vargas Llosa, the actor Juan Echanove will premiere “Ser o no ser” at La Latina theater.

Our protagonist, a cab driver by profession, is an apparently happy married man with a quiet and somewhat monotonous life. Nothing could be further from the truth. He is married to two women and lives with each of them in a different neighborhood. This forces him to keep a very strict schedule and to juggle in order to please both of them. He is truly in love with both of them and does not want to lose either of them. His whole plan goes awry when he ends up in the hospital by accident and his name appears twice in the police station of each district. Are they two people with the same name or the same person with a double life? That is what the police will try to find out… and he will try to hide by all means. To do so, he will count on the invaluable help of a very “uncomfortable” neighbor.
