Climbing the One World Observatory at One World Trade Center should be in your plans if it is your first trip to New York. Climbing to the Top of The Rock or the Empire State Building should also be in your plans. Climbing all three will give you a spectacular view of the city from different vantage points.

  Cañon del sumidero chiapas

The views of the Hudson River and the East River are fantastic, as well as the Booklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. Or being able to recognize the avenues going up all over Manhattan.

Once you go up (the speed of the elevator is amazing!) they offer you the rental of a tablet that will help you locate all the buildings and important and curious points of the city. The truth is that we have never rented it (you have to pay for it in addition to the entrance fee).

And why do I tell you this? Well, because the viewpoint of the One World Trade Center building is indoors, not outdoors like the Empire State Building. So it is all windows. Since it’s lighter inside than outside (at night), when you shoot with the camera what you will photograph is your reflection in the glass. And not the views of New York.

One world observatory

If, like many, you did not have the opportunity to see the viewpoint of the missing Twin Towers, since 2015 in New York you can go up to the One World Observatory, the new observatory of the World Trade Center.

Around you, you will see the first homes of Manhattan, the construction of bridges and mythical buildings, the sad disappearance of the Twin Towers and the silhouette of the city of skyscrapers change over the centuries.

  Diseño de fachadas de casas

And the free part of the tour begins! The One World Observatory is located on the 100th floor and, thanks to the 360-degree panoramic view, will make you feel that New York is a miniature set.

Through the glass, you will see the whole city from a bird’s eye view. To the south, the Financial District awaits you, with the Statue of Liberty (of all the observatories, it offers the closest view) and Governors Island.

And yet, for us, the One World Observatory has a major drawback: it is an indoor observatory, unlike the Top of the Rock, the Empire State Building or the Edge, which have outdoor terraces.
