Our beloved storytellers from previous editions will visit us again to tell us funny stories full of adventures. Through humor, magic, juggling and clowning, these three characters, with almost no elements, play and recreate a universe full of mythological and fantastic beings that open the door to the imagination, which is the most fun vehicle to understand mythology and Greco-Latin history.

Comedy has arrived this week to this 67th edition of the Festival de Teatro Clásico de Mérida by the hand of the actor Pablo Carbonell with the play ‘Mercado de Amores’, which stands as a hymn to women’s freedom.
During the play, Erotía and Tais defend their right to choose in love and to be independent women, and censure the insistence of men when trying to conquer them, or say that when a woman “says no, it’s no”.
This is the common thread of much of the play, in which Erotía and her father Pánfilo, played by Pablo Carbonell, fight for the love of a slave, Carino, who is actually Erotía’s boyfriend but who has disguised him as a woman so that her father does not find out.
