Nunca estabas seguro de quién estaba hablando sin tener que pasar la página, lo que era incómodo y molesto. Ni siquiera sé si la traducción era exacta o la edición buena porque no tuve tiempo de mirarlas realmente. Lo que sí sé es que mi alumna obtuvo lo que yo necesitaba que obtuviera, así que estoy contenta con él.

Leí este libro en el colegio, y no dejo de considerarlo una de las mejores obras que he leído durante mi adolescencia. Es por eso que me sentí obligado a tenerlo en mi kindle. La verdad es que esta versión es bastante buena aunque yo creo que nada se compara con leer esta obra con un libro real. Encuentro que es difícil disfrutar las oraciones poéticas de Calderón mirando una pantalla. Sin embargo, encuentro que para los fanáticos es una buena opción si es que quieren llevar esta obra consigo todo el tiempo.

In this second act, the dialogues follow one after another, with moments in which the text is forceful and others in which it shows a strong poetic charge, although they move around a long process that gives the sensation of stagnating, entering a temporal and argumentative loop, until it leads to a final monologue that ‘should’ be decisive, due to the power that is evidently intended to print in it and that is shown thanks to the strength of its construction. Thus, in this second part of the proposal, the strength of the dramaturgy and of the characters themselves, appears and disappears constantly, dilating an action that finally is enjoyed more for its forms, its aesthetics and its visual construction than for the strength of the action itself, which it has, but giving the sensation of being immersed in a ‘coming and going’ as in that oscillation produced by the waves when the tide rises and/or falls.

Then comes the epilogue, which rescues part of the spirit of the first part through the dialogue between the author and a young man whose figure contains a marked symbolism. Both are the protagonists of a dialogue that is especially striking for its emphasis on the idea that everything that has happened so far, felt and experienced as the truth by the author, is not in reality what it seems to be.

It was in 2016 when, starting from the first act of Comedia sin título, the Comunidad de Madrid commissioned Alberto Conejero, also an Andalusian poet and playwright, to write the second and third acts of García Lorca’s unfinished play.

In his text, Alberto Conejero, winner of the 2016 Max Theater Award, seeks to revive the legacy that Lorca’s play was intended to leave in society, re-staging themes such as the meaning of theater or the need to break it as a way of renewal. In the play, which maintains the spirit of the original, a new evolution and entity is given to the characters.

Likewise, for theater lovers, the regional government has organized a continuous tribute to Lorca’s theater that will take place at the Teatros del Canal of the Community of Madrid. On May 3, 4 and 5, 12 plays will be performed in the different theaters from noon to midnight. Spectators will be able to attend, without interruption, titles such as Esto no es la casa de Bernarda Alba, by Carlota Ferrer; Amor de Don Perlimplín con Belisa en su jardín, by Darío Facal; and Amor oscuro, the sonnets interpreted by Pilar Royo, among others.
