The Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville joins the initiatives of the associations Opera Europa and Opera XXI, under the slogan ‘Opera Reboot’, are promoting for the celebration of World Opera Day this Monday, October 25, based on the pillars of sustainability, equality and generation of young talent.

Thus, they can create any type of piece freely: a mural, a graffiti, a painting, a song, an installation, a staging, among others, “whatever best serves them to express themselves”.

On the other hand, the Maestranza will document the creative process of the students through an audiovisual piece that will include interviews with their testimonies. The aim of this video is to arouse the interest and curiosity of the students in the field of opera and to transmit the values of World Opera Day. This video will be launched on our website and networks coinciding with the celebration.

Similarly, the radio program Hoy por hoy Sevilla on Cadena SER, hosted by Salomón Hachuel, will be broadcast live from the Teatro de la Maestranza on the occasion of the celebration of World Opera Day. Experts, artists and other special guests will participate in the program.
