We take care of every detail of each piece. With short runs, listening to the history of the pottery we mold.”
And if it breaks? “It can be fixed, maybe that piece is telling you that it has another story to tell. The Japanese do this very well and people pay for it,” laughs the couple. And as in life, sometimes the most interesting pieces are the ones that hold the blows, the ones that gather a bit of mysticism. “We have pieces with borders full of notches, jars with finger marks… This is the best example that a handcrafted piece is not made, it is born”.
