The Teatro Bellas Artes in Madrid has extended until March 21 the performance of Miguel Delibes’ play ‘Cinco horas con Mario’, starring the renowned actress Lola Herrera, which has been sold out for weeks.
But, above all, ‘Cinco horas con Mario’, wants to talk about the eternal issues of the human being, that is to say, about guilt, loneliness, lack of communication and the meaning of life. In this way, starting from the concrete situations of its characters, this work masterfully addresses the deepest and most complex realities that condition the lives of all people.

En sus inicios, el público de este veterano teatro contiguo al centro cultural Círculo de Bellas Artes disfrutó de una prolífica programación organizada por el pintoresco novelista y dramaturgo del siglo XIX Ramón de Valle-Inclán. Tras un periodo de decadencia en el que se representaron relativamente pocas obras, el teatro se ha recuperado y ahora ofrece hasta 10 obras estimulantes al año. Algunos ejemplos recientes son la Sonata de otoño de Ingmar Bergman y una versión moderna de Fedra de Edipo. La taquilla está abierta de martes a domingo de 11:30 a 13:30 y de 17:00 hasta el comienzo de la representación.
