I am confident that the study and the future TítereData tool will strengthen us as a creative and productive sector of the Performing Arts, and I hope and wish that the experience of partnership and collaboration will be a point and a continuation.
We never know in what state of health we are until we do not make a diagnosis and for that we need data. We encourage all professionals related to puppetry to collaborate in Titeredata, and thus know our situation and be able, together, to achieve the recognition and importance of the world of Puppetry in the Performing Arts.
Getting to know each other is the first step to get organized. Titeredata is a fundamental tool for the puppetry sector. A project like this one provides a necessary basis for programming, co-producing, articulating alliances, getting to know new initiatives or developing joint projects.”

They were also very celebrated during the Renaissance. The nobility liked to gather around luxurious theaters, where even famous operas were staged. It is known that the first opera for puppets was written by Filippo Acciaiuoli (1637-1700), poet and playwright of an illustrious family from Florence (Italy). He traveled all over the world, finally settling in Rome, where he created a famous teatro di burattini (1680), for which he would write several musical compositions and with which he would tour different countries of the Old Continent.
These theatrical traditions were of considerable importance, especially in rural areas. The contents that were staged covered all kinds of themes, including those that included mockery or biting criticism of the nobles who served as politicians of the time.
In Andalusia, throughout its history, the taste for theater dates back to time immemorial. The ruins of great scenic spaces such as those of Italica (Seville), Malaga and Cadiz are witnesses of this fondness.

Neighborhood associations, women’s associations, youth groups and senior day centers have been invited to take a tour of the new cultural facilities, where they will have the explanation of a technician.
The newly opened Teatro Cómico del Títere ‘Tía Norica’, which opened its doors last Friday, will hold until Friday June 29 at 20.30 hours, in San Miguel Street, 15, open days, organized by the Areas of Family and Culture of the City of Cadiz.
This facility, located in the historic center of the city, has been built in two phases and has involved an investment of over 8 million euros, taking into account that it is located in an area where it has been necessary to make an outstanding archaeological intervention. In order to carry out the excavations in what was once the old Comic Cinema, in 2006 it was necessary to build a perimeter screen of micropiles around the site in order to carry out the excavations safely and without affecting the adjoining property.
