The Victoria theater was built in 1912 on the site of the former corral de comedias, of which there are references from the seventeenth century, which from the eighteenth century onwards was called the Teatro Principal and was subsequently demolished. Miguel Fernández Santamaría bought the site and built this theater, which he named after his daughter Victoria, which his next buyer, Félix Moro, changed to Teatro Mariana, and in 1991 Talavera Town Council took it over and the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha refurbished it.

We are a theater group from Talavera de la Reina that aims to honor theater in all its facets. Paraskenia Teatro was born from the love of everything that surrounds this ancient art. From Paraskenia the actors went out to represent in the first theaters of the world. We want to emerge little by little, at our own pace, at our own tempo, with our art, from our humble Paraskenia. The theater needs spectators to exist. We know you are there… For our part we promise to give you our soul and our talent to be able to create and make THEATER.

This theater occupies the site where, already in the XVII century, there was a corral of comedies that, from the XVIII century, was called Teatro Principal and that was demolished at the end of the last century. In 1912, Miguel Fernández Santa-maría requested the transfer with the right to purchase the site and built a theater named after his daughter, Victoria, a name that his next buyer, Félix Moro, changed to Teatro Mariana. The abandonment ended up almost ruining it until 1991, acquired again by the city council and rehabilitated by the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, it reopened its doors.
The interior with its plaster decoration, the ironwork balustrades and the metallic pillars together with an appropriate decoration made the then Infanta Cristina at its reinauguration describe it as “coquettish”.
