Farsa (impossible genre) is the name of the new album by Sílvia Pérez Cruz. Normally she alternates albums of her own compositions with others that she herself describes “in which I try to create from the interpretation”, covering songs by other artists. Farsa (impossible genre) is an album of the first type, mainly composed of new compositions by Sílvia created in dialogue with other artistic disciplines such as theater, dance, film, poetry or painting. It was recorded during 2019 and 2020, and responds to Sílvia’s concern in relation to the duality of what is shown and what we really are, for how the fragility of the interior, of the intimate, survives in these times in which the surface is so devastating, in which what is seen can become confused with what is heard.
