With the need to continue our activity we got the important support of the Icas of the City Council of Seville, which together with the Urbanism Management, have given us a beautiful plot in Torneo Street, on the banks of the river, to build a new theater. It is a costly undertaking and takes time.
This has been possible thanks to an agreement with the Provincial Union of Seville CCOO, whom we thank for the sensitivity and interest they have shown in our project and the support we have received. This collaboration allows us now to celebrate with you its reopening, to continue with the offer of shows and hope that you like it.
Taking into account the characteristics of the space, its location and its history, the type of programming will continue with its seal of versatility and quality, an unmistakable hallmark of our way of programming.
The Teatro del Duque has always functioned as a “café-cantante” and a place for fun and comedy. We intend to continue that line, of course updating it to these times. We will continue with our double feature and children’s shows. We will give more relevance to the golf functions on the weekends.
