From February 28 to March 28, the XXIV Ciclo de Teatro Joven will take place on the boards of the Teatro Principal of Burgos. Once again, its programming has been carried out by the Municipal Institute of Culture and Tourism of the City Council of Burgos and the University of Burgos (from the Vice-Rectorate of Social Responsibility, Culture and Sport), with the collaboration of the Junta de Castilla y León through the Red de Teatros de Castilla y León. This edition, which will make the theater a safe place strictly following the protocols established against the pandemic, is a reunion with the theatrical event full of vigor, young spirit and love for life.

This is the story of two people. They are neither good nor bad, neither selfish nor generous, neither rich nor poor, neither brave nor cowardly. They are normal people, with their pluses and minuses, who lead normal lives, with their pluses and minuses. One day the appearance in their world of two strangers disrupts the routine of their ordinary life and their world is filled with questions: who are they? what do they want? why do they come? …. Nobody has a clear answer to these questions and little by little the fear of the unknown dominates them and they decide to take measures: they protect themselves behind a wall. When they believe that routine and normality have returned to their ordinary lives a new event disturbs them, but this disturbance does not come from outside their wall but from within. A new authority has taken power and has decided, unilaterally, that all people with red noses will be eliminated, and the argument for this decision is: “because YES” In order not to be eliminated our two protagonists have to leave their world, their lives, their memories …. and get going. Thus begins a long journey full of trials. For each test they overcome, they will get closer to the end of the journey, but what awaits them at the end of that journey?….? help? or a wall?

La temporada 2019-2020 incluye conciertos con la Sinfónica de Chelsea interpretando la Serenata después del Simposio de Platón de Bernstein, y apariciones en recitales y música de cámara en el Consejo de las Artes de Islip, la Universidad de Rutgers, el Festival de Música de Cámara de Bar Harbor y la Holy Trinity Rittenhouse Square de Filadelfia. Nicholas es el segundo violín principal de los Virtuosos de Mount Vernon de Amit Peled, y miembro de la Orquesta del Festival de Música de New Hampshire. Fue Segundo Violín Principal de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Huntsville en Alabama de 2016 a 2018. En los veranos, Nicholas es profesor de violín y música de cámara en la Academia Internacional de Música de Toscana, Italia, y en el Festival Internacional de Música de Burgos, España.

Nicholas se graduó en la Manhattan School of Music en el estudio de Patinka Kopec y Pinchas Zukerman. Otros mentores influyentes son Rodney Friend, Lucie Robert y Grigory Kalinovksy. Nicholas ha participado en clases magistrales para los violinistas Itzhak Perlman, Ivry Gitlis y Vadim Gluzman.
